West Brom host Sunderland on Saturday afternoon as they look to further cement their position in the Championship play-offs.
The away side secured a 2-1 victory in the reverse fixture earlier in the season. Kick-off is set for 3pm UK time at the Hawthorns.
The hosts come into the game fresh off a 2-0 home victory over now-relegated Rotherham United in mid-week. The result saw West Brom return to winning ways after three consecutive draws in the Championship, though Carlos Corberan's side are unbeaten in their last ten. The run of form has left them in fifth, six points behind Southampton in fourth.
West Brom's home form has been the cornerstone of this season's success, with an average of 2.19 points per match so far. They've been in fine goalscoring form in front of their own fans, netting two or more goals in 52% of their home fixtures. West Brom have also shown a clinical edge in front of goal at home, scoring an average of 1.67 goals per game compared to an expected goal (xG) tally of just 1.2.
Eleven of their 21 home matches have also ended in a clean sheet, with an average of only 1.3 goals conceded per home game so far.
Despite picking up a point away at Leeds United midweek, Sunderland's form on the road doesn't make for positive reading; they've picked up just 21 points in as many away outings so far, a run which has contributed to their current languishing in 13th position. They've also picked up just six points from their last 24 overall.
Their average of one goal scored per away fixture is below the 1.43 they've managed at home, and Sunderland have also failed to score in 38% of matches on the road. They've scored two or more in less than a quarter of away fixtures (24%).
Both sides come into the fixture in opposing form; West Brom haven't tasted defeat since the middle of February, while Sunderland have struggled in recent weeks. They've also won just one of their last five away outings.
Both sides also boast a high BTTS ratio this season, with both teams finding the net in 43% of West Brom's home fixtures, and in 48% of Sunderland's games on the road.
