Bournemouth travel to Turf Moor to take on Burnley for the Premier League’s early kick-off on Sunday, with relegation on the minds of both sides.
The hosts currently sit in 19th place, only above Sheffield United on goal difference. Safety now lies eleven points above Vincent Kompany’s side after Everton's point deduction was refused ten to six points earlier this week.
Bournemouth meanwhile come into the fixture in a more desirable position of 14th, 8 points clear of the relegation zone, but not yet safe. The Cherries can move 11 points clear if results go their way this weekend despite falling down the league table due to poor form since the start of the new year.
Burnley will have to play the fixture without mainstay midfielder Josh Brownhill who received a straight red card last time out against Crystal Palace. Aaron Ramsey, Jordan Beyer, Lyle Foster, Luca Koleosho and Nathan Redmond are all also currently unavailable for the home side due to injury.
Bournemouth players James Hill, Max Aarons and Ryan Fredericks will be unavailable for selection for Andoni Iraola.
Key striker Dominic Solanke was missing for the away side's 1-0 defeat to Leicester in the FA Cup earlier this week due to a knee injury and it remains unclear whether he will feature this weekend. Midfielder Tyler Adams could possibly return for the Cherries however after returning alongside Phillip Billing at the Kingpower.
Burnley have lost their last 3 league fixtures, losing against title contenders Liverpool before being defeated by Crystal Palace in Oliver Glasner’s first match on the touchline. In those 3 matches, Kompany’s side have conceded 11 goals, whilst only scoring once.
Bournemouth meanwhile were in fine form in the build-up to the festive period but have failed to carry their form into the new year. Iraola’s men have failed to win in their 6 league fixtures of 2024, taking only 3 points from those fixtures, with their most recent coming in a 3-0 home victory against Fulham on Boxing Day
Iraola's side can take hope from a positive showing last time out however where they narrowly lost 1-0 to champions Manchester City on the South Coast.
Premier League head-to-head history fails to flatter the travelling side, with Bournemouth only managing to win once at Turf Moor. Burnley have won 6 of the total 9 Premier League fixtures between the two sides, half of those at home.
In recent times however, the Cherries have the edge, coming away victorious from their last trip to Turf Moor in an FA Cup tie. More recently, Iraola’s side defeated Burnley 2-1 in the Premier League this season at the Vitality Stadium.
vBet have Bournemouth at 28/29, carrying an implied probability of 50.88% likelihood of the away side picking up the victory.
BetMGM and BetUK meanwhile have Burnley at 14/5 with an implied probability of 26.32% for Kompany's side to earn their second win at Turf Moor this season.
The draw comes in at 37/13 with vBet, carrying an implied probability of 26%.

Both sides have struggled to keep clean sheets, with the Cherries keeping 5 and the Clarets keeping only 2. StarSports have BTTS at 13/20, carrying an implied probability of 60.61% that both sides will have found the back of the net by Sunday afternoon.
Despite their poor run of form, OddsNow expects Bournemouth to come away victorious at Turf Moor to compound Burnley's relegation woes as we enter the final stretch of the season. Providing he's declared fit, striker Dominic Solanke can be expected to build on his 14-goal tally and find the net once again in the North-West.
