Bakhodir Jalolov is hoping to secure conseucitve Olympic gold medals in the super-heavyweight division at Paris 2024.

Check out our full preview for the division's key contenders ahead of the tournament start!

Bakhodir Jalolov (4/11)

Two-time Olympian Bakhodir Jalolov heads into Paris an overwhelming favourite to secure back-to-back gold medals at super-heavyweight.

Jalolov won gold in Tokyo three years ago while representing his nation Uzbekistan and is hotly-tipped to repeat the feat this summer.

The 30-year-old has also made headway as a professional, currently boasting a 14-0 record in the paid ranks.

Jalolov's most impressive feats remain in the amateur code, though, where he is a two-time world champion and a three-time Asian Championships gold medalist.

He also won a gold medal at the 2022 Asian Games, making it easy to see why the Uzbek is so heavily-fancied to continue his glittering career in the French capital.

Teremoana Jr (11/1)

Australian super-heavyweight champion Teremoana Jr comes in as a wide second favourite due to the amateur exploits of the man above him.

Nevertheless, the 26-year-old remains one of the chasing pack behind Jalolov and will certainly fancy his chances of medalling in his debut Olympics this summer.

Teremoana Jr secured a spot at Paris 2024 via the Pacific Games last year, where he secured gold after a second-round stoppage in the final.

Like Jalolov, the Australian has also entered the professional ranks, where he is unbeaten after four contests.

Coming in at a best price of 11/1, the wide odds speak more to Jalolov's dominance at super-heavyweight rather than the slights of Teremoana Jr.

While the Uzbek native remains a clear favourite to claim gold, Teremoana has as strong a chance as any of the others should Jalolov slip up.

Kamshybek Kunkabayev (16/1)

Team Kazakhstan captain Kamshybek Kunkabayev is hoping to improve on his bronze medal-winning performances in Tokyo three years ago.

The 32-year-old suffered a semi-final stoppage defeat to Team USA's Richard's Torrez in the Japanese capital to miss out on a chance in the tournament final.

Kunkabayev is well-accomplished in the vested code, though, and has won silver at two World Championships, an Asian Games and four Asian Championships.

While winning gold appears unlikely, another spot on the podium is certainly a realistic proposition for Kunkabayev at Paris 2024.
