Champions League-chasing Bologna travel to mid-table Torino on Friday evening with both sides having four games to play in Serie A.

Bologna remain on course for their first appearance in the competition. Kick-off is set for 7:45pm UK time at the Stadio Olimpico Grande.

Recent Form

Torino

The hosts are targeting a third consecutive top-half finish in Serie A. Sitting in tenth, Ivan Jurić's side remain two points clear of eleventh-placed Monza and four behind ninth-placed Napoli heading into the weekend.

Torino's home form has been a major staple of their success this term given their dismal performance on the road. Averaging 1.71 points at home this season, Torino are also unbeaten in their last four matches at the Stadio Olimpico Grande.

Goals have been hard to come by for Jurić's men, though. They've scored just one in their last three home outings, and have averaged just 0.88 across their 17 home fixtures. Eight of these games have seen them fail to find the back of the net.

Nevertheless, no side has conceded fewer home goals than Torino's eight so far, which has made up for their poor attacking output. Conceding only 0.47 goals on average, 12 of their home matches have ended in a clean sheet. Only two of these have seen them concede two or more goals.

Bologna

Thiago Motta's side must therefore be at their attacking best if they are to break down the resolute Turin outfit on Friday. Unbeaten in their last six, have also impressed defensively, keeping four clean sheets during that period.

Their form on the road has failed to match their impressive performances on home soil, though. They've averaged just 1.44 points in away fixtures compared to 2.22 at home, but they are nevertheless unbeaten in their last six away outings.

Bologna have struggled finding the net on their travels; despite averaging 1.67 scored at home, they've managed just 1.13 on the road, and have failed to score in four away outings so far.

They also concede more in away games, averaging 1.13 shipped on their travels. This pales in comparison to the 0.5 conceded in front of their home fans. Two of their last three away games have seen them keep a clean sheet, though.

Prediction

Bologna have been Serie A's surprise package this season and, due to Italy's high position in the UEFA co-efficient rankings, look set for an appearance in next season's Champions League. Motta's men will still look for a strong finish to the season to ensure they avoid any potential sli-up though, and despite their comparable struggles on the road, Bologna have certainly improved in away fixtures recently.

Given Torino's troubles going forward, it's hard to see how the hosts will trouble Bologna on Friday evening, and so OddsNow back the away side to pickup another three points in this one.
