Several Premier League managers have already been shown the exit door in the first half of the campaign, but who will be the top-flight's first managerial casualty of 2025?
Odds Now's Brad Walker talks through the leading candidates who could find themselves on the chopping block next.
The Spaniard began December on razor thin ice after a difficult start to life at the London Stadium.
A loss against fellow strugglers Wolves would have likely pushed Lopetegui over the edge, but to their credit, West Ham were able to secure all three points that night to kick-off a four-match unbeaten run.
The Hammers fan base remain unconvinced over Lopetegui's playing style though, and were brought crashing back down to earth with a comprehensive 5-0 loss to league leaders Liverpool last weekend.
While the game isn't one which should ultimately define the 58-year-old's future, results will need to pickup quickly if Lopetegui is to remain in the London Stadium dugout moving forward.
It's hard not to have some sympathy for Postecoglou given the lengthy injury list he is currently having to juggle, but his insistence to continue playing open, attacking football with the club in 11th place remains a head-scratcher.
While some credit should be given for remaining loyal to his chosen style, surely some leeway is needed to ensure his side get over the line and pickup much-needed results to propel themselves out of the bottom half.
Being forced to play without four of your first-choice back five is far from ideal though, and recognition of this should ultimately buy the Australian more time to improve performances in North London.
Then again, Spurs Chairman Daniel Levy has shown ruthlessness in the past in getting rid of managers with a proven track-record, and so it remains to be seen if Postecoglou will still be at the club come the end of the season if the side continues on their current downward trajectory.
Everton have rightly received praise for recent draws with big-hitters Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City, but the side remain just two points above Ipswich Town in 18th.
Questions continue to linger over Sean Dyche's long-term future with the club, particularly given the recent arrival of new owners who may wish to take the club in a fresh direction ahead of the move to a new stadium next season.
Nevertheless, the Toffees were enjoying a four-match unbeaten run prior to their defeat to high-flying Nottingham Forest last weekend and so it appears unlikely that Dyche will be the league's next managerial casualty.
Whether he'll be in charge for the club's first match at their new 52,000 capacity venue remains to be seen, though.
Seeing Pep Guardiola's name among the leading candidates next to leave their job makes for a startling read, particularly considering the former Barcelona boss only signed a fresh two-year deal with Manchester City back in November.
However, City's remarkable drop-in form has left many pondering over whether Guardiola make a dramatic u-turn on his decision to stay with the club.
His side currently sit in sixth position, a whopping 14 points behind leaders Liverpool, and the 53-year-old has appeared both physically and mentally exhausted on the Etihad sideline in recent months.
Nevertheless, Guardiola has reiterated his determination to stay and rebuild after winning four consecutive Premier League titles, and it will be a huge shock if he was to vacate his post between now and the end of the current season.
It's hard to look past Lopetegui as the league's next manager to be relieved of his duties.
While their recent run of form made for a stark improvement on results from earlier in the season, it only seems a matter of time before another dip sees the West Ham crowd fully turn on the Spaniard.
Esteemed journalist David Ornstein reported that club officials had met for 'crisis talks' surrounding Lopetegui's future at the start of the month, which in itself is surely a sign that this is already the beginning of the end for the former Real Madrid boss in East London.
