Sky Bet Championship leaders Ipswich Town look to continue their title charge as they play host to promotion hopefuls Southampton on Monday.
Kick-off is set for 5:30pm UK time at Portman Road.
The home side come into this league game following a tight 1-0 win over Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park, which left Ipswich Town top of league after 39 matches played.
Ipswich have excelled in the Championship this season following their promotion from League One last year, currently holding a total of 84 points heading into the final stretch of the campaign.
The hosts also boast the second best home form in the division, picking up 46 from a possible 57. They've also scored the most home goals in the league (53), with an average of 2.8 goals scored per match.
Striker Conor Chaplin has been the danger man for ‘The Tractor Boys’, scoring 13 goals this season, continuing his impressive form from the 2022/23 season. Chaplin scored the winner in Ipswich’s win over Blackburn on Friday evening.
The visitors come into the game following a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Middlesbrough. Southampton currently sit fourth and eight points off the three frontrunners this season on 74 points (W22 D8 L7).
The Saints boast the third best away record in the league with an average of 1.94 points per game. Southampton also average 1.6 goals scored away from home, and have failed to score in only 6%.
Russell Martin's side have however conceded 1.28 goals on the road and have conceded in 72% of away matches so far, which will be a concern given Ipswich's strong scoring habits on home soil.
The home side have excelled in front of their home fans this season and head into the match on the back of eight wins in their last nine. Ipswich have also scored seven in their last two outings, including a 6-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday in their last home game.
Though Southampton have performed admirably on the road so far, Ipswich are on a roll and are the sensible pick on the moneyline.
