Serie A champions Inter Milan look to rebound from defeat last weekend when they travel to relegation-threatened Frosinone on Friday evening.

The visitors suffered a shock 1-0 defeat at Sassuolo last time out, while Frosinone drew 0-0 at Empoli. Kick-off is set for 7:45pm UK time at Stadio Benito Stirpe.

Recent Form

Frosinone

A six-match unbeaten run has left Frosinone in a stronger position to enjoy a second successive season in Italy's top-flight. They still remain just two points above the dreaded drop zone though, and so more points are vital if they are to avoid relegation to Serie B at the first time of asking.

Their home form has been crucial; an average of 1.47 points across 17 outings at home compares to a dismal 0.39 on the road, and stands as the eleventh-best home record in the division.

Frosinone's 28 home goals scored is just two off of the tally's managed by AC Milan and Bologna in the Champions League spaces, leaving them with an impressive average of 1.65 per home fixture. They've failed to score in just three of these matches, and have found the net at least twice in ten.

Conceding goals has been a major issue for Eusebio Di Francesco's men, though, regardless of the venue. With an average of 1.8 shipped overall in Serie A, Frosinone have managed only six clean sheets in total this season. Such a record makes for ominous reading as they prepare to face Serie A's highest-scoring side.

Inter Milan

Simone Inzaghi's side have already captured their 20th Serie A title this season, currently sitting 18 points above second-placed AC Milan with three games remaining. The defeat at Sassuolo last weekend was just their second of the campaign, and their first on away soil.

Prior to their visit to the Mapei Stadium, Inter had won seven consecutive away matches. It's little surprise to see them boast the best away record in Serie A, and their 38 goals scored on their travels also leaves them as the highest-scorers in away matches.

The Sassuolo loss was the first time they'd failed to score both home and away this term in the league. Inzaghi's side have scored two or more goals in eleven away outings already, and come up against a Frosinone side with the fifth-worst defensive record in home fixtures.
