Deportivo Alavés host an in-form Girona side at Mendizorrotza Stadium on Friday evening.
The visitors are on course to record a first ever top-two finish in La Liga following an emphatic victory over Barcelona last weekend. Kick-off is set for 8pm UK time.
The hosts come into the game having secured three wins on the bounce in La Liga, registering three clean sheets in the process. The run includes a 2-0 home win over Atletico Madrid last month, before Luis García's side secured a 1-0 victory away at Valencia last time out.
Alavés boast the tenth-best home record in La Liga, and have lost just one of their last five at Mendizorrotza Stadium. A respectable return of 1.18 goals scored is buoyed by a solid defensive record, which has seen García's men concede an average of just one goal per home fixture so far.
Though they've scored more than two goals in only four matches at home, six of these games have ended in a clean sheet.
A 4-2 win at home to Barcelona last weekend has left Girona in pole position to secure their highest ever finish in La Liga. Sitting in second, Girona are now one point ahead of Barca with four matches remaining. Having secured three consecutive victories in their last outing, Míchel's men will need to continue the good form if they are to maintain the gap between themselves and third-placed.
Their recent form on the road has been shaky, though. A 2-0 win at Las Palmas at the end of April spelled an end to four consecutive losses in away fixtures, a run which threatened to derail their push for a top-two finish. Nevertheless, Girona still boast the third-best away record overall in La Liga, averaging 1.76 points across their 17 outings on their travels.
Though the 27 goals scored in away fixtures is a significant downgrade on the 46 managed at home, Girona have still averaged 1.53 goals scored in away fixtures. Only four of these have seen them fail to find the net.
Conceding goals has been more of a problem on the road, though, with Girona averaging 1.35 shipped in away games compared to 1.12 on home turf. They've also managed just four away clean sheets so far.
Though Girona have hardly convinced on the road as of late, the win over Las Palmas combined with their success against Barcelona last weekend has steadied the ship and left them on course for a second-placed finish behind champions Real Madrid.
OddsNow back Míchel's side to secure another three points at the Mendizorrotza Stadium on Friday.
