Didier Deschamps has no injury concerns ahead of Monday evening. France forward Kylian Mbappe played the full 90 minutes against Poland in his first outing since breaking his nose against Austria on matchday one.
Belgium midfielder Axel Witsel continues to be their only absentee with a groin injury. The 35-year-old is yet to feature at EURO 2024.
It's fair to say that neither France or Belgium impressed during the group stage. Despite being hotly-tipped to finish of top of their respective groups, both meandered through in second-place after disappointing showings across their three outings so far in Germany.
France were, at one point, favourites to win the tournament but have now dropped down to fourth after finding themselves on the competitive side of the draw alongside other big-hitters in Germany, Portugal and Spain.
An uninspiring 1-0 win over Austria, courtesy of a Maximilian Wober own goal, was followed by drab 0-0 and 1-1 draws against the Netherlands and Poland, leaving the French failing to top a group at a major tournament for the first time since 2012.
Fortunately for them, they face a Belgium side also struggling for form and a squad which pales in comparison to Deschamps' star-studded crop. A worrying 1-0 loss to Slovakia was followed by a 2-0 win over Romania, meaning the point picked up in a dull 0-0 draw with Ukraine was enough to see them progress.
However, this Belgium side is not the same as the one which finished third in Russia six years ago. Questions rightly remain about their susceptibility at the back, and their star striker Romelu Lukaku is yet to find the net this summer, though he has had three efforts ruled out by VAR.
Even an out-of-form France side should be backed to dismantle Domenico Tedesco's men in comfortable fashion here, particularly after talisman and captain Mbappe got off the mark from the spot against Poland last time out.
Belgium's 'Golden Generation' have flattered to deceive over the years and, unfortunately for them, we expect them to bow out of EURO 2024 with a whimper in Dusseldorf.
