Bottom-placed Bundesliga side Darmstadt 98 host Bayern Munich at the Merck-Stadion am Bollenfalltor on Saturday.

The visitors will be hoping to build momentum from their 8-1 victory against Mainz at the Allianz last time out. The emphatic victory made it six wins in a row for Thomas Tuchel’s side.

Meanwhile, Darmstadt will be looking to cause an unlikely upset but find themselves winless in their last 20 games. Kick-off is set for 2:30pm UK time.

Recent Form

Darmstadt

It has been a difficult season for Darmstadt who sit bottom of the table and have conceded the most goals in the Bundesliga so far (60). They've also only managed a single point from their last five games.

If Darmstadt are to cause the upset, they will need to shut out an in-form Bayern attack. The home side have only managed clean sheets in 8% of home fixtures this campaign though, and have averaged an expected goals against (xGA) of 1.46 goals per home game.

Darmstadt were also beaten 8-0 by Munich in the reverse fixture, and the away side have won the last six matches played between the two.

Bayern Munich

Tuchel's side are heavy favorites as they seek to put pressure on league leaders Bayer Leverkusen, who travel to Freiberg the following day. Bayern head into the fixture as the leading scorers in the Bundesliga, having scored 73 goals in 25 matches so far.

The current Bundesliga champions have also been very strong away from home with an average of over 1.5 goals scored in 75% of their away fixtures, and average an expected goal (xG) tally of 2.02 goals per away match.

Striker Harry Kane has already scored 30 goals in 25 matches in the Bundesliga, ten of which came away from home. The England international has a 1.46 goal involvement per 90 and an xG of 1.04 this term.

Kane is coming into gameweek 26 after scoring his fourth hat-trick of the season in the victory over Mainz last week.

Prediction

It would be a huge shock if Bayern didn’t come away with the three points, but there is little value on the moneyline with the away side coming in at 2/13. Bayern have scored an average 2.17 away goals so far this season though, and coupled with Darmstadt's habit of conceding at home (2.38 per game), the visitors are likely to bag multiple goals before the 90 minutes are up.

OddsNow's Pick: Over 3.5 away goals (6/4 @ Betfred); Over 4 total goals (15/13 @ vBet)
