Barcelona vs Osasuna: 5/4 & 9/5 betting tips

Barcelona look to extend their lead at the top of the La Liga table when they host an Osasuna side who aren't yet out of the woods at the bottom.

Our man Brad Walker (@brad_TWalker) has cast his eye over the match-up and picked out a couple of fancies ahead of kick-off on Thursday evening. 

Barcelona vs Osasuna analysis - Catalans cautiously confident of moving three clear

The La Liga table paints a pretty clear picture of where these two sides are at, so it's hardly groundbreaking analysis to describe Barcelona as the form side heading into Thursday's match. 

Hansi Flick's side are unbeaten in their last 18 matches in all competitions and are eyeing up winning a potential treble between now and the season's end. 

And while the Catalans' home record is far from La Liga's best - four boast better returns on home soil this season - Barcelona have won their last four at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium by an aggregate score of 13-1. 

Another victory here will see them move three points ahead of bitter rivals Real Madrid and seven of Diego Simeone's Atletico. 

The form of visiting Osasuna will also leave plenty of room for optimism. Vicente Moreno's men have failed to win any of their previous six outings in all competitions and have won only one of their last 12 away league matches. 

Still, hosts Barcelona's guard will be up following their 4-2 loss at Osasuna in September, which ended their perfect winning start to the campaign.

Selection #1 - Barcelona to win & over 3.5+ goals - 5/4

Flick's side are one of the best attacking outlets in Europe and are far and away the highest scorers in La Liga this season, having already scored a mighty 75 goals so far. That figure is 16 higher of second-highest scorers Real Madrid.

It is not surprising then to see there has also been a shed load of goals scored in Barcelona's home fixtures so far. There has been an average of 3.5 scored in total across their nine home matches in La Liga, four of which have seen at least four goals scored.

Three of Osasuna's away outings have also seen four or more. Moreno's side also head to Catalonia with just one clean sheet in their last 15 matches.

Add in the fact six of the hosts' last nine games in all competitions have seen at least four goals netted and there's plenty of value in backing another high-scoring Barcelona win at a generous odds-against 5/4 pricing with multiple bookies.

Selection #2 - Barcelona to win both halves - 9/5

Barcelona have won nine of their 12 home matches in La Liga so far, eight of which have seen the Catalans head into the break with a lead. Six of those 12 have also seen them win the second half.

To say Osasuna's form on the road has been poor would also be an understatement. Only three sides have fared worse on their travels in the Spanish top-flight and Osasuna have taken a lead into half-time away from home only twice.

They've been even worse in the second half, which they've won just once so far. 

Putting all of this together, getting the in-form hosts to win both halves at just shy of 2/1, again with multiple sportsbooks, is a price too good to turn down.
