Serie A remains an outlier despite many other major European leagues enjoying a well-earned winter break over the festive period.

The action continues in the Italian top-flight across the weekend and Odds Now's Brad Walker has picked out a tasty 4/1 double for punters to dive into in-between their selection boxes.

Odds Now's Serie A selections

Selection #1 - Atalanta to beat Lazio

Only six points separate these two sides at the top of Serie A heading into the weekend, but Atalanta have undoubtedly been the headline stealers so far in the Italian top-flight.

Napoli are the only side who boast a better away record than Gian Piero Gasperini's men so far this term.

A staple of their success has been at the back, with five of Atalanta's six league clean sheets coming on their travels, where they've averaged an impressive 0.89 goals conceded.

'La Dea' have been as equally impressive in attacking quarters, mind.

No side has scored more than their 42 so far in Serie A and face a Lazio side who, despite impressing overall, have somewhat struggled keeping opposition teams out.

Marco Baroni's men have kept just four clean sheets so far and are averaging 1.5 goals conceded in home fixtures.

Atalanta have also lost just one of their last seven away outings against Lazio and should be backed to maintain their lead at the top.

Selection #2 - Udinese to beat Torino

Both of these sides are within a single point of each other heading into the weekend.

Udinese have endured a mixed run at home so far, winning four and losing four of their eight encounters at Stadio Friuli.

Three of those losses have also came in their last three home matches, though the run included defeats to Serie A big-hitters Napoli and Juventus.

Torino's record on the road is also very ordinary, with Paolo Vanoli's averaging 1.22 points per game in away matches.

Their 1-0 win at Empoli earlier this month was their first win in five on their travels and Udinese had won eight of their nine home games prior to the recent three-match losing streak.

All in all, the home victory looks the sensible pick here.
