Champions League-hopefuls Bologna travel to Napoli on Saturday afternoon as the Serie A season approaches its final climax.

Both sides enter the match following consecutive draws in their last two outings. Kick-off is set for 5pm UK time at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Recent Form

Napoli

The hosts are now winless in their last four outings in Serie A, and leaves them in eighth position on 51 points. Their season has been a farcry from the successes of last season where they were crowned Italian champions.

Only eight sides have fared worse in home fixtures than Napoli this season. Averaging 1.5 points across 18 matches at home, Napoli have failed to record a win in their last four games at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Conceding goals has been a problem, and Francesco Calzona's side have registered only two clean sheets on home turf so far. Their 44 goals shipped, home and away, is the highest of any side in the top-half of Serie A.

24 of their 53 goals scored have came at home, but Napoli have failed to score in four home outings already. They've also scored three or more goals on just one occasion at home.

Bologna

By contrast, Thiago Motta's men have enjoyed a fruitful campaign and are on course to qualify for Champions League football for the first time in their history. Sitting in fourth, Bologna are four points above fifth-placed Atalanta having played an extra match.

While only Inter Milan boast a better home record, Bologna have failed to replicate similar success on their travels. They still boast the seventh-best away record in Serie A though, and are undefeated in away matches since a 2-1 loss at Cagliari in January.

Motta will be hoping for his side to find their goalscoring touch though, with Bologna recording two 0-0 draws in their last three away matches. They've only scored two or more goals in six away matches this term.

Prediction

Bologna haven't been quite as imperious in away fixtures compared to their impressive form at home, but should still have too much for this Napoli side on Saturday. The hosts have little to play for between now and the end of the season, and will be counting down the days until their miserable campaign comes to an end.

OddsNow therefore back Bologna, who enter as underdogs, to get the win this weekend.
