Everton search for a fifth consecutive home victory when they host relegated Sheffield United on Saturday afternoon.

The two sides played out a 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture earlier in the season. Kick-off is set for 3pm UK time at Goodison Park.

Recent Form

Everton

Sean Dyche's side have cemented their place in the Premier League for next season, despite being handed two separate point deductions for breaching Profit and Sustainability Rules. A huge week at the end of April went a long way to ensuring survival when Everton recorded home wins over Nottingham Forest, Liverpool and Brentford in the space of six days without conceding a goal.

They also managed to net five of their own during that time, showing a clinical edge which if present earlier on in the season will have seen them pushing for a top-half finish. An average expected goals (xG) tally of 1.6 at Goodison Park has led to only 1.17 scored, but Everton have been converting chances at a much better rate in recent weeks.

Coupled with them facing one of the worst defensive sides across the football pyramid, Dyche and co will be expecting more goalscoring action this weekend.

Sheffield United

Blades fans will be counting down the days until their dismal campaign is over with their relegation to the Championship now confirmed. An alarming 16 goals conceded in their last four league outings typifies their main problem this season.

Having conceded a whopping 100 goals this term - 22 more than the second-worst tally by Luton Town - it's little wonder why United have struggled to put points on the board. They've managed just 16 all season, and have just one away win to their name as they prepare to travel to Merseyside.

Chris Wilder's side have conceded three or more goals in 16 outings home and away so far.

Prediction

To the surprise of no one, Everton enter the match as firm favourites (4/9) on the moneyline. OddsNow not only back the home side to continue their positive home record, but expect them to do so in style, against one of the worst defences ever seen in the English top-flight.

OddsNow's Pick: Everton to score 2.5+ goals (11/8 @ UniBET)
