Union Berlin look to compound Bayern Munich's Bundesliga woes when they host the former champions in the German capital on Saturday.

Bayern secured a 1-0 home victory in the reverse fixture back in January. Kick-off is set for 5:30pm UK time at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei.

Recent Form

Union Berlin

The home side are still in danger of being dragged into the relegation play-off place, despite their position in 13th place. Union are just three points above Mainz in 16th, and have not registered a win in their last three Bundesliga outings.

Their home form has prevented them from being dragged further into a relegation scrap; 1.43 points averaged across their 14 home outings is a substantial improvement on the 0.6 they've managed on the road. Nevertheless, they've still failed to score in 43% of their home fixtures, while only 21% have seen them keep a clean sheet.

Matches at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei have already averaged 2.57 goals in total this season, a figure which is likely to rise given the free-scoring nature of Bayern's attack.

Bayern Munich

Thomas Tuchel's men have lost out on the Bundesliga title for the first time in eleven years after Bayer Leverkusen were confirmed as champions with victory last weekend. Bayern sit 16 points behind Leverkusen heading into the match in Berlin, and will no doubt be focusing on their Champions League match at home to Arsenal on the following Wednesday.

Nevertheless, Bayern had little trouble in finding the net this season, scoring an average of 2.83 goals per game in the Bundesliga so far. Bayern have also bagged seven goals in their last two away fixtures in Germany, albeit losing the latest 3-2 at Heidenheim, and remain the highest scoring team in the league.

Their 1.79 goals conceded in away fixtures remains a concern, though they face a side who have made habit of failing to find the net at home. 71% of Bayern's away games have seen three or more goals in total this season.

Prediction

With Leverkusen's crowning as champions now confirmed, Bayern's sole priority for the remainder of the season is the Champions League. With their quarter-final tie with Arsenal finely poised after a 2-2 draw in the first leg, Tuchel is likely to rest key figures ahead of the return at the Allianz Arena next week.

Nevertheless, Bayern's squad posssesses a wealth of attacking talent which will look to wreak havoc on a leaky Union Berlin defence, and OddsNow anticipate plenty of goal-scoring action in the German capital this weekend.

OddsNow's Pick: Over 3.25+ goals scored (21/20 @ LiveScoreBet)
