QPR host second-placed Leeds United on Friday as the race for automatic promotion goes to the wire in the Championship.

The hosts picked up their first win in four matches with a 1-0 home victory over Preston at the weekend. Leeds, meanwhile, enter the match following a thrilling 4-3 win at Middlesbrough on Monday. Kick-off is set for 8pm UK time at Loftus Road.

Recent Form

QPR

Martí Cifuentes' men know victory will confirm their survival in England's second division on Friday. The victory last weekend leaves them in 18th position, four points above the relegation zone with two matches remaining.

Though QPR have only secured six home victories all season, two of those have came in their last five at Loftus Road. Nevertheless, the Hoops' boast the second-worst home record in the division, with only relegated side Rotherham United faring worse on home turf this season. Their average of just 1.09 points per game at home makes for ominous reading as they prepare to face the side with the third-best record on the road this campaign.

QPR have underwhelemed in defensive quarters, registering clean sheets in only 23% of their home fixtures so far. With an average of 1.45 goals conceded in front of their home fans, QPR have also shipped two or more goals in 50% of home matches so far.

Leeds United

Daniel Farke's men picked up their first victory after a three-match winless streak at the Riverside Stadium on Monday. The win was their second in their last five away matches, though they've averaged a healthy 1.68 points per away game so far. While this is far below the 2.41 they've averaged in home fixtures, only Leicester and Ipswich have bettered Leeds' form on the road so far.

Goals haven't been a problem, with an average of 1.64 scored in away matches this season. Though they've failed to find the net in 23% of these games, Leeds have scored two or more in 45%. Farke's men have also bagged at least three in at least 27%.

Though their average of 1.05 conceded in away fixtures exceeds the 0.64 they've conceded at home, Leeds have still managed clean sheets in 41% of their matches on the road. 32% of these games have seen them ship two or more goals, though.

Prediction

Leeds' win at Middlesbrough was the latest example of their involvement in high-scoring encounters this season. Their away matches have averaged 2.68 total goals so far, and 45% of these games have seen at least three goals.

50% of QPR's home matches have also seen three or more total goals scored, and OddsNow anticipate plenty more goalscoring action in this one as Leeds continue to hunt a return to the Premier League.

OddsNow's Picks: Over 3+ total goals scored (11/8 @ vbet)
