Preston vs Aston Villa: 33/1 Bet Builder for FA Cup quarter-final clash

Written by: Adam Drury

Aston Villa travel to Preston in the third of four exciting FA Cup quarter-finals taking place this weekend.

Football tipster Adam Drury has picked out a 33/1 bet builder with William Hill for the match.

Adam Drury's Preston vs Aston Villa bet-builder selections

Selection #1 - Aston Villa to win

This is a huge occasion for Preston, but Aston Villa are aiming to end a 29-year wait for a trophy themselves and will see this as a fantastic chance to progress to the semi-finals.

The visitors have won their last four matches across three different competitions, including away wins at Club Brugge and Brentford.

And Unai Emery's side should have far too much class for Championship opposition, considering the gap between the two divisions.

Preston haven't had to beat a top-tier side to reach this stage and have only won two of their last eight matches in all competitions.

Selection #2 - Marco Asensio to score

Asensio is very likely to start here, having not been away on international duty and enjoyed a two-and-a-half-week break since Villa's last game.

The Spaniard is also in sparkling form, scoring seven goals in his last five games and five in his last three.

In a game his side should win fairly comfortably, he will be right in the thick of the action and is a nice bet to extend his good run in front of goal.

Selection #3 - Youri Tielemans to take over 1.5 shots

Tielemans has been posting strong shot numbers recently and is well worth including to fire off a couple more here.

The Belgian midfielder has had two efforts on goal in three of his last four Premier League matches, including away at Crystal Palace and Brentford.

Preston have conceded the 12th-most shots in the Championship – not bad, but not great – and Villa should have plenty of opportunities to get attempts off at Deepdale.

Selection #4 - Andrew Hughes to be carded

Hughes has been carded eight times this season, including at home to Arsenal in another Preston match against Premier League opposition.

The defender has committed at least one foul in 11 of his last 15 games and has been penalised multiple times in six of them.

With quick skilful players like Ollie Watkins, Marcus Rashford and Morgan Rogers running at him, this will be a huge test for the 32-year-old and a booking would come as little surprise.
