Former Manchester United and France midfielder Paul Pogba is searching for a new club after agreeing to terminate his Juventus contract in November.
But where will the World Cup winner end up? We take a look at the key market leaders currently competing to secure his signature.
Pogba is now able to return to training after his initial four-year ban for doping infringements was cut to 18 months back in October.
He hasn't featured in a professional match since representing Juventus in a Serie A match versus Empoli in September 2023.
Nevertheless, the 31-year-old will be eligible to play again from March onwards, but must first put pen to paper with a new club. Let's see who is in the mix to secure his services.
The current favourites to be Pogba's next destination are the MLS' Inter Miami, who currently boast the likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in their ranks.
Pogba has spent time training in Miami in preparation for his return and was also pictured with Miami Heat basketball star Jimmy Butler in November.
The Frenchman even added fuel to the fire when uploading a photo wearing a Manchester United shirt with Inter Miami co-founder and co-owner David Beckham on the back to his Instagram recently.
However, questions remain over whether the club could afford Pogba's high salary demands.
In a surprising twist, Pogba has also been linked with a move to Brazilian giants Corinthians.
The club have been strongly linked with a move for the midfielder, who is also reportedly receptive to a potential switch to Sao Paulo.
Remarkably, a Brazilian model agency posted on social media offering to help fund the transfer, but the approach was turned down by the club who preferred to pursue a move by more traditional means.
Again, Pogba's wage demands could prove a major stumbling block, but both parties are reported to remain keen on reaching a solution.
A move to his native France also remains on the cards, with Ligue 1 club Marseille reported to hold an interest in acquiring his services.
One major advantage they hold over the other clubs discusses so far is the likelihood of them playing Champions League football next season.
Speaking in an interview via Twitch recently, Pogba said he wants to join 'the best clubs' should the opportunities arise.
He said: "[Signing for] a club that plays in the Champions League? Why not? If it comes, of course, why not? We always want to join the best clubs. After that, it doesn't depend on me, it depends on many other things."
Marseille have been heavily touted with a move for the Frenchman since he departed Juventus at the back end of last year.
In fact, club President Pablo Longoria refused to rule out a move for Pogba in December but admitted no advanced discussions had taken place.
Reuniting with Jose Mourinho is also on the cards.
The Portuguese manager, now with Fenerbahce, re-signed Pogba as Manchester United manager back in the summer of 2016.
The pair endured a fractious relationship prior to Mourinho's Old Trafford exit in 2018, despite winning League Cup and Europa League trophies in their first seasons with the club.
Pogba has since been publicly critical of Mourinho's man management and conservative tactical approach, casting doubt over any potential reunion in the Turkish Super Lig.
