Norwich City host Swansea City at Carrow Road knowing securing three points is vital if they are to protect their place in the Championship play-offs.

The home side sit six points clear in sixth but know both Hull and Coventry hold games in hand below them, and are ready to pounce should the Canaries slip up in the final two weeks of the season. Kick-off is set for 3pm UK time.

Recent Form

Norwich City

David Wagner's men have recordes six wins in their last eight matches but will be disappointed with a 1-1 home draw against Bristol City last time out. The result saw them fail to take advantage of Hull's 0-0 draw at Watford, while Coventry were out of action in the Championship due to their involvement in the FA Cup semi-finals. These two sides are also set to play each other on Wednesday evening

Depending on the result in that game, just three points could separate Norwich and seventh as we enter the final two weeks of the campaign. A win is therefore crucial if they are to leave their play-off ambitions in their own hands.

Fortunately for them, their form at Carrow Road has been far better than their record on the road; they boast the fifth-best home record in the Championship, compared to the 18th-best in away fixtures.

Norwich have excelled at both ends of the pitch, scoring an average of 1.86 home goals while conceding just 0.91. They've failed to score in only 9% of home fixtures and kept clean sheets in 41%.

Swansea City

Three consecutive victories have seen Swansea secure their Championship status for next season, leaving them 14th in the table heading into the weekend. A second successive top half finish remains a possibility if they are able to move past Bristol City, who sit three points above them in twelfth.

Luke Williams' men have only managed one win in their last five away outings, though this did come last time out when they secured a 4-0 win at struggling Huddersfield Town.

An average of 1.41 goals scored on the road isn't disastrous but the amount they've conceded has been a concern; 1.59 goals shipped, with clean sheets in just 18% of away fixtures, has no doubt proven costly and prevented them finishing further up the table.

Prediction

Both Norwich's home games and Swansea's matches on the road have one thing in common: goals. Games at Carrow Road have averaged 2.77 goals this term, while Swansea's matches on their travels have seen an even higher average of three goals in total.

OddsNow expect this trend to continue this weekend as Norwich eye up a return to the Premier League next season.
