Roma continue their push for Champions League football next season when they travel to Napoli on Sunday evening.

Daniele De Rossi's side currently sit fifth and, although the top five places in Serie A qualify for next season's competition, Roma are only four points ahead of Atalanta who also have a game in hand.

Kick-off is set for 5pm UK time at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Recent Form

Napoli

The home side have endured a disappointing campaign after being crowned Serie A champions last season. Napoli enter the weekend in eighth and boast just one win in their last six. A 1-0 away defeat at Empoli was their tenth loss of the season, and Francesco Calzona's men are surely counting down the weeks until the season's end.

After boasting the best home record in the division last year, Napoli's 1.44 points averaged leaves them with just the eleventh-best this season. Only one win has came in their last five outings at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Both scoring and conceding goals have proved an issue, with Calzona's side failing to score in four home outings so far. Only two of their home games have ended in a clean sheet.

Roma

De Rossi's men have gone from strength to strength since his appointment in January. Not only are they in a strong position to qualify for the Champions League, Roma have also progressed to the Europa League semi-finals this year.

Though their record on the road pales in comparison to their run at home, Roma are now undefeated in their last six away games in Serie A, winning four.

An inability to keep opposition out has been a recurring theme on the road; they've only kept three away clean sheets in total, but two of these did come in their last six away outings.

Goals have also been harder to come by on the road, with Roma averaging only 1.44 scored on their travels compared to 2.12 at home. They've already failed to score in five away fixtures, but only one of these games have taken place since De Rossi's appointment.

Prediction

Roma's shaky record on the road certainly makes predicting a result more difficult, but the away side have been superb since De Rossi took over the reigns in the Italian capital.

They rebounded to a 3-1 home loss to Bologna with a last-gasp 2-1 win in an 18-minute match Udinese on Thursday following the game's initial suspension due to a serious injury earlier this month.

OddsNow expect them to have too much for this Napoli side on Sunday evening to maintain their search for Champions League football next term.
