Leicester City hope to maintain their status as Championship leaders when they travel to struggling Millwall on Tuesday evening.

The Foxes secured a vital three points with a 2-1 win over Birmingham City on Saturday while Millwall suffered a devastating last-gasp 1-0 defeat at relegation rivals HuddersField Town. Kick-off is set for 7:45pm UK time.

Millwall

The home side will have been rocked by Rhys Healey's 94th minute winner which saw Huddersfield take all three points against them on Saturday afternoon. The result was Millwall's third loss in four matches, including a 2-1 away defeat at now relegated Rotherham United. Millwall haven't recorded a victory since a 1-0 home ousting of Birmingham City at the beginning of March.

They have performed slightly better on home soil this term, averaging 1.15 points per home fixture compared to the one they've managed on the road. They still have a -11 goal difference at The Den though, scoring a worrying 0.85 goals per home match so far. Millwall have found the net in only 65% of their home fixtures, and have scored at leas two in just 15%.

Their defensive record is also alarming, with Millwall averaging 1.4 goals conceded per home match compared to only 1.24 goals on the road. They've conceded in 70% of home fixtures, with 40% seeing them ship two or more.

Leicester City

Enzo Maresca's side have now recorded consecutive league victories for the first time since February following the win at the King Power at the weekend. The win saw them return to the summit of the Championship, one point ahead of second-placed Ipswich Town with a game in hand.

Leicester's away form has been exemplary so far this campaign, seeing an average of 2.1 points per game across their 20 away outings. They haven't won in their last two matches on the road though, initially drawing 2-2 at Hull City before suffering a shock 1-0 loss to Bristol City at the end of March.

Nevertheless, the Foxes have averaged 1.95 goals per away game so far, and have failed to score in just 10% of these fixtures. They've also scored two or more goals in 60% of matches on their travels.

Maresca's men have performed admirably in defensive quarters overall, though their 1.05 goals shipped in away games is higher than the 0.75 they've managed on home turf. They've also kept clean sheets in only 25% of away matches.

Prediction

The Championship leaders predictably enter strong favourites with little value found in backing Leicester on the moneyline. Their impressive scoring record on the road combined with the leaky Millwall defence suggests goals lie in wait though, especially considering Leicester's own far from perfect resume at the back.
