Liverpool returned to winning ways mid-week and now prepare to welcome Bournemouth to Anfield for a second consecutive home game in the Premier League.

Cherries fans may suffer nightmares as this fixture looms as their record at Anfield is a frightening one.

They’ve lost on their last five visits with an aggregate scoreline of 20-2 and it may prove to be the ideal fixture for Liverpool as they look to bounce back from a shock defeat.

Odds Now’s Connor Cain digs deep to find you the best value in this historically one-sided fixture.

Tale of the tape

Liverpool

The Arne Slot era suffered a surprising setback last week as Nottingham Forest stunned Liverpool at Anfield.

The Reds could not find the back of the net and Callum Hudson-Odoi’s strike punished the former Premier League champions.

There is no cause for concern at Anfield, however, as Liverpool sit fourth in the table and rebounded in style with a 3-1 win at the San Siro in midweek against AC Milan.

Liverpool have a full squad available to them with the exception of Harvey Elliott and understandably head into this tie as huge favourites.

Bournemouth

The Cherries were unlucky to suffer defeat against Chelsea last week after Evanilson’s missed penalty and Nkunku’s late winner.

Andoni Iraola joined them at the start of last season and hit the ground running, ending the 2023/24 campaign in a comfortable 12th place.

Their start this season has been steady with little cause for concern after securing an impressive point against Newcastle, as well as a sensational comeback win against Everton.

Bournemouth will need to be at their very best though if they are to secure their first point at Anfield since 2017, but they will be buoyed by Forest’s upset last week.

Liverpool vs Bournemouth: Betting tips and predictions

Mohamed Salah has scored three goals in four Premier League games this season, impressive numbers unless your name is Mohamed Salah or Erling Haaland.

The Egyptian fired a blank for the first time in the league this season last week, but I expect him to bounce back with a bang here.

He loves playing against Bournemouth and has nine goals in nine appearances against them, including one hat-trick.

I’m backing him to find the back of the net a couple of times here with a generous 9/2 offered for him to score 2+ goals.

If your confidence in the 32-year-old is unwavering, 20/1 can be found for him to bag another hat-trick.
