In what looks a hammer blow, Poland captain Robert Lewandowski is ruled out of this clash due to a hamstring injury picked up in his country's 2-1 win over Turkey on Monday. Meanwhile, left midfielder Nicola Zalewski is set for his first appearance at a European Championships.
The Netherlands have been hit by multiple injuries during the build-up to the tournament. Frenkie De Jong, Teun Koopmeiners and Marten De Roon have all been forced to withdraw from the squad ahead of their opening match.
Young winger Xavi Simons netted his first international goal in the 4-0 win over Iceland at the start of the week and could make his second appearance at a major tournament this weekend.
Poland only scraped through the play-offs to secure a place in Germany but more recently have amassed impressive wins over Ukraine and Turkey in their warm-up matches.
Clean sheets have been a problem, though, with MichaĆ Probierz' side managing just two in their last seven as they prepare to face a charging Netherlands side on Sunday.
The Dutch not only have options aplenty in attacking areas but also secured back-to-back clean sheets in 4-0 victories over Canada and Iceland in their pre-tournament friendly outings.
Questions remain over the ability of Ronald Koeman's side to compete with elite opposition, yet Oranje look primed to reach the knockout stages in Germany.
Poland's limp performance in what appeared to be a favourable qualifying group has left many tipping them for a fourth-place finish in Group D.
Conceding 10 goals across eight matches was worrying and, combined with a weakened attacking output, left them reliant on the play-offs to secure a spot in Germany.
Star striker Lewandowski amassed a solid 25-goal return for Barcelona last season but the 35-year-old has seen better days, evidenced by a disappointing three-goal haul for his country during qualifying.
Meanwhile, the Netherlands' two defeats to France were their only losses en route to reserving a place this summer. Koeman's men have scored 13 in their last four outings, registering three clean sheets in the process, making them deserved favourites (4/7) in this one.
This Poland side look to be one on the decline. Probierz' men are lacking in both attacking and defensive quarters, making it hard to back them here.
Young winger Xavi Simons netted his first goal in Oranje colours during the Iceland win and we back the 21-year-old to repeat his heroics against a leaky Polish backline this weekend.

Slovenian striker Andraz Sporar netted his 12th international goal in a 1-1 draw with Bulgaria on Monday and is set to partner the highly-rated Benjamin Sesko up top.
Danish goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel is set to wear the armband for his country this weekend, with usual captain Simon Kjaer deemed unlikely to start.
Slovenia are preparing for their first major tournament in 14 years. A 2-1 win over Armenia followed by a 1-1 draw with Bulgaria made it six matches unbeaten for Matjaz Kek's men — a streak which also included an impressive 2-0 victory over Portugal in March.
In fact, their last defeat came against none other than Denmark. Joakim Maehle and Thomas Delaney's goals sealed the deal in that meeting last November.
That result proved pivotal in terms of top spot in qualifying, with the two finishing level on points but the Danes awarded first-place based on the head-to-head record.
That campaign also saw Denmark take four points in matches against Sunday's opponents. Meanwhile, Kasper Hjulmand's side head into the match having won their last three on the bounce.
With four clean sheets across 10 qualifying matches, Slovenia's sturdiness at the back meant they lost on just two occasions. One of those matches did come against the Danes, though, who have been in rich scoring form as of late.
They've scored two or more goals in four of their last six outings, most recently securing a 3-1 win over Norway in their final match before the tournament.
Slovenia's scoring run has been even more impressive. Kek's men have found the net in each of their last 12 outings and managed an impressive 20 goals during qualifying.
Neither side were able to register a clean sheet across their two matches en route to securing a place this summer, and while we expect Denmark's added quality to eventually shine through, we expect both to enjoy their fair share of success before the 90 minutes are up.

Serbia have no fresh injury concerns heading into Sunday evening's clash with England.
Manager Dragan Stojkovic will have been boosted by goals from senior figures Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Dusan Tadic and Aleksandar Mitrovic in a 3-0 win over Sweden in their final preparation match.
His opposition number, Gareth Southgate, faces a selection dilemma at centre-back ahead of their opening game.
The usually ever-present Harry Maguire was not named in the 26-man squad due to a calf injury, and his partner John Stones was also withdrawn from the 1-0 friendly defeat to Iceland last Friday with an ankle injury. While the knock wasn't expected to threaten Stones' involvement versus Serbia, he was forced to sit out of Wednesday's training session due to illness.
Trent Alexander-Arnold looks to have played his way into the Three Lions' midfield after impressing in last week's friendlies.
Serbia come into the match having won two of their last four, including the recent win over Sweden. Conceding goals has been an issue, though, with Stokjovic's men managing just four shutouts in the 15 matches they've played since the World Cup in Qatar.
England, meanwhile, were unbeaten in 10 heading into 2024 but have now won just once in their last five, looking far from their best in recent performances.
Despite scoring 22 across 8 matches in qualifying, Southgate's side have failed to find the net in two of their last four and will need to regain their scoring form if their status as tournament favourites is to be proved a correct assessment.
Though England have been far from convincing in recent outings, the Three Lions still rightly enter this one as strong favourites (10/21).
Serbia have made a habit of conceding goals, shipping 9 in a weak qualifying group which featured Montenegro, Lithuania and Bulgaria alongside table-topping Hungary. They have also conceded six in their last four, which included a 4-0 away reverse to Russia — though they did play a large chunk of that game with 10 men.
While England haven't been as prolific in recent matches, their attacking prowess speaks for itself. Few sides can boast the dearth of talent at Southgate's disposal in forward areas and they should ultimately have far too much for this leaky Serbia side over 90 minutes.
