Back this 13/1 Tuesday Championship accumulator

Written by: Adam Drury

The Championship returns on Tuesday and our football tipster Adam Drury (@Adam_Drury1) has put together a four-fold from across this evening's seven-match slate.

Positive results for in-form Burnley and Blackburn are included, while goals and cards are on the menu elsewhere.

Selection #1 - Burnley to beat Derby & under 4.5 goals – 5/6

Burnley sit third in the Championship and, ominously, are improving.

Scott Parker's side had won four straight matches to nil prior to Friday's 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough, which was also a perfectly respectable result.

They have conceded just seven goals in 19 league outings this term, four fewer than any other team — and just three in nine matches at Turf Moor.

Derby have lost six of their 10 league away games this season, including all five of their trips to top-10 opposition, and have had just three days to recover from being given the runaround by Leeds in a 2-0 defeat at Elland Road on Saturday.

All but one of Burnley's home wins and all but one of Derby's away defeats have produced four or fewer goals, so under 4.5 should be a safe extra.

Selection #2 - BTTS & over 2.5 goals in Plymouth v Swansea – 11/10

Plymouth home matches average 3.25 goals per game this season, so punting on more goalmouth action when they take on Swansea makes sense.

This bet has won in five of the last six matches at Home Park, a run that includes 3-2, 3-3 and 2-2 scorelines.

Wayne Rooney's side don't create as much as those numbers might suggest but Swansea have conceded in all but one of their 10 away games this season, making a home goal seem a fair bet.

The Swans scoring themselves should not be a concern, considering they have obliged in six of their last seven and take on the leakiest defence in the division.

Selection #3 - Over 3.5 cards in Portsmouth v Norwich – 4/6

The pure numbers tell us that betting on over 3.5 cards when Portsmouth host Norwich at Fratton Park should pay.

Pompey games have won in this market on 14 of 17 occasions in the Championship this season, including seven of the last eight.

Norwich matches are marginally less tempestuous, but this line has still been beaten in seven of 10 away games and 12 of 19 overall.

Referee Andrew Kitchen has produced four or more cards in seven of his 12 matches this term, which combined with both teams' records is enough for us to chuck this in.

Selection #4 - Blackburn draw no bet v Sheffield Wednesday – 6/5

Blackburn have won four straight matches, so these look generous odds to back them with the risk of the draw out of the equation.

Rovers rank 17th in the Championship for average possession but that does not bother them one bit. Only six teams have conceded more goals and their transitional style suits playing away, where they have won their last three and only lost three of nine all season.

Sheffield Wednesday are among the patchiest teams in the division, winning three, drawing four and losing three of their 10 matches at Hillsborough in 2024-25.

This bet will only lose if they claim three points and sixth-place Blackburn are playing too well to pass up an odds-against quote here.
