Saturday night will see all footballing eyes turn to Spain for the Copa Del Rey final all neutrals wanted – old foes Barcelona and Real Madrid locking horns for the trophy.

Our resident stats expert Felix Morson-Pate (@felixpatelgop) drills down on the numbers to produce an 11/1 Bet Builder for the showpiece.

Barcelona vs Real Madrid bet builder tips for April 27, 2025

Lamine Yamal to score or assist

With no Robert Lewandowski to lead the line for Barca on Saturday, the precocious talent Lamine Yamal should have ample opportunity to shine in this Clasico.

Meetings so far this team have been wildly high scoring, and I see no real evidence to suggest that pattern will change here, as both sides are likely to go hell for leather in what is a first cup final clash in over a decade.

Yamal has five goal contributions in just under four full 90s in this season’s cup run, and with similarly impressive league numbers, the young winger will likely cause what is set to be a more inexperienced Madrid backline all kinds of trouble.

Vinicius Junior to score or assist

If Real are to go blow for blow with their bitter rivals, then you’d imagine ‘Vini’ having a strong performance will be crucial to that.

Kylian Mbappe’s blockbuster move and subsequent form has rightly stolen many of the headlines, but the Brazilian winger has adapted to playing more of a supporting role, and has both the second most goals and assists for Ancelotti’s side this season, behind Mbappe and Jude Bellingham respectively.

Vinicius also tends to raise his game for El Clasico, and has given Jules Kounde a couple of torrid evenings in recent times. Expect him to be prominent here as Real look to avenge the painful defeats that Barcelona have so far inflicted on them this term.

Raphina 2+ shots

On the opposite flank to Yamal, former Leeds man Raphinha has found himself having such a stellar campaign that he is actually the market favourite to lift the 2025 Ballon D’or.

He’s taking over 3.5 shots per 90 minutes in La Liga this season, and his numbers are more or less the same in a smaller sample of minutes in the Copa del Rey.

Given Barcelona’s free flowing attacking game plan in what looks set to be an open contest, chances are he can replicate those monstrous shot numbers here and keep Thibaut Courtois honest throughout the clash.

Gavi 3+ fouls

Our final selection is a little more cynical, but given the nature of how Gavi interprets his role as the midfield enforcer in Hansi Flick’s side, as well as the turbo charged nature that a Real-Barca game tends to provide to all 22 player’s mentality, I can see the young Spaniard wanting to get stuck in as much as possible.

I particularly think he will relish a few tussles with Bellingham, another man who is not shy of making a foul or two himself this season.

For me, Real are still at their best when they look to play a fast break style and overload opposition quickly after retaining the ball, so expect Gavi to be one of the main men charged with tactically stopping any dangerous looking attacks in exchange for a free kick and a harsh word from the referee.

For a man averaging over three fouls a game this season, it’s a rather generous price on him to do the same in such a huge game here
