Nottingham Forest fans are still celebrating their monumental victory last week at Anfield, but can they travel further south and take another three points?

Odds Now’s Connor Cain breaks down this fixture to look for the best bet for your weekend dabble.

Tale of the tape

Brighton

Brighton fans will be very happy with their start to the season after a point against Arsenal and victory over Manchester United has helped them up to sixth place.

The Seagulls were frustrated at the Amex last week by newly promoted Ipswich, however, as both teams failed to register on the scoresheet.

That was put right in the EFL Cup on Wednesday as they prevailed 3-2 in a goal fest against Wolves, albeit with a much changed side.

Forward Joao Pedro has scored two league goals this season but has missed the previous couple of matches through injury.

Fabian Hurzeler hasn’t ruled out a return for the Brazilian on Sunday so fans will be monitoring their manager’s press conference with seagull eyes (please pardon the awful pun).

Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest’s result last week may end up as the shock of the Premier League season.

Few teams go to Anfield and walk away with three points, and it was another example of the great job Nuno Espirito Santo is doing at the City Ground.

Ibrahim Sangare missed their Anfield heist through injury and fans have since learned he will be out until December after surgery on a torn hamstring.

Willy Boly returned from the international break with a calf injury but could be available for selection this weekend if called upon.

Brighton vs Nottingham Forest: Betting tips and predictions

This game took some time to find a bit of good value, but a prop bet may be the key to making a few quid here.

Chris Wood has led the line for Forest in each of their league games this season, netting twice.

He scored an impressive 14 league goals last campaign and at the time of writing, he is 3/1 to score anytime down in Brighton.

Only Haaland and Salah have had more shots on target this season than Wood (7) and as the old adage goes, you can’t win the raffle if you don’t buy a ticket.

With the positive start to the season for both sides, the pressure should be off which may lend itself to an attacking game.

If so, the New Zealand international will be kicking himself if he couldn’t take advantage.
