A revitalised Millwall head north to take on Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday night as the Lions look to steer themselves further away from the relegation zone.
Blackburn were victorious the last time these two met at the Den, running away 2-1 winners thanks to goals from Joe Rankin-Costello and Callum Brittain.
The match will be available for streaming through both clubs’ subscription services as well as the EFL’s iFollow platform.
Neil Harris’ return to Millwall has certainly sparked life back into the London outfit who have recorded back to back wins since Harris returned for his second spell in charge of the Lions. That, coming off the back of seven league games without a win, has been much needed with the club still only one point ahead of the relegation spot despite sitting 18th in the league.
Millwall have been inconsistent on the road so far this season however they’ll certainly be encouraged by their last display away which saw them take all three points against promotion chasers Southampton.
Blackburn now also find themselves just one point above the relegation zone after a poor run of form has seen the Lancashire side without a win in their last five league outings. Two wins in 17 league matches have dragged them into the scrap for survival with boss John Eustace yet to see his side win a league game since his appointment in February.
The significance of this fixture will not be lost on Blackburn fans who will be eager tosee their side back amongst the cluster of teams that find themselves sitting comfortably in midtable. Rovers fought valiantly against Newcastle in their last home fixture, taking the Premier League big spenders to extra time in the FA Cup before ultimately falling short, losing out agonizingly on penalties.
Midfielder Sammie Szmodics has been sensational for Blackburn this season having found the back of the net 19 times, making him the division's leading scorer.
