Manchester City's dismal run of form continued with another damning loss last weekend, but can they return to winning ways against Aston Villa?

Odds Now's Brad Walker has picked out a tidy 12/5 single ahead of kick-off in the West Midlands on Saturday.

Odds Now's Aston Villa vs Manchester City selection

Both sides come into this game having suffered crushing losses late on last weekend.

First, Aston Villa led Nottingham Forest by a goal heading into the 87th minute at the City Ground last Saturday, before two late Forest strikes sunk Unai Emery's men in cruel fashion.

Pep Guardiola and Manchester City know the feeling, haven't suffered the same fate against bitter rivals Manchester United at the Etihad.

Josko Gvardiol had initially given the Citizens the lead, before young United winger Amad Diallo spun the game on its head in the final stages.

The Ivorian first earned a penalty from which Bruno Fernandes equalised, before Diallo then raced behind the City backline to round Ederson and bundle the ball over the goal line in the 90th minute.

City have now lost eight of their last 11 matches in all competitions and know another defeat at Villa Park will surely end any lingering title ambitions.

They already trail league leaders Liverpool, who also have a game in hand, by nine points and know a loss could see that gap extended to 12 by Sunday evening.

Villa had recently endured their own difficult spell before recording three victories on the bounce prior to the Forest defeat.

They have also lost just one of their last 13 home matches in the league, and came out on top with a 1-0 victory in this fixture last season.

Yet, the Villains surprisingly come in underdogs at an incredibly wide 12/5 prior to kick-off.

Considering the woeful form of the visitors, that price looks far too big to turn down in my eyes.

Villa Park is a tough place to go regardless of form, but City are currently in freefall and it's hard to see where their next victory comes from.

Sure, they were ahead for large portions against United but were uninispiring in their performance to say the least.

Getting anyone at odds-against to beat them looks a steal right now, and so there's certainly enough juice in backing the Villa victory this weekend.
