Selection #1 - Wrexham to win

Wrexham are in terrific form, winning five of their last six matches, and look a safe bet to extend that run in a big semi-final.

Phil Parkinson's men have won 16 of their 21 home games in all competitions this season, including all four of their outings in the Trophy at the Racecourse Ground.

Peterborough's form has picked up somewhat but they have still lost 12 of their 20 away games this term.

That run includes a 1-0 loss at Wrexham, while they also lost 2-0 to the Red Dragons at home.

Selection #2 - Under 3.5 goals

Relatively simple numbers means this bet make sense.

Wrexham have seen this line land in 21 of their last 24 matches and in five of their six in this competition.

It has also been a winner in eight of Peterborough's last 12 outings, including in both League One games between these teams.

Chuck in the context of a major semi-final and this feels a safe addition.

Selection #3 - Ollie Rathbone to score

The leg that really boosts the odds is Rathbone to score, priced as a single at 9/2.

The midfielder has netted in two of his last three games and is enough of a threat in front of goal to believe he can extend that run.

Both of those goals have been as a result of making late runs and getting on the end of bits and pieces in the box, while he has taken a shot in 10 of his last 12 league games, including multiple efforts in seven of them.

Selection #4 - Over 3.5 cards

This bet has won in six of Peterborough's last seven games, including in the last round of this competition against Cheltenham.

It was also a winner when the two teams met on this ground in 2025 and in five of Wrexham's last six at home overall.

Again, factoring in the importance of the occasion, we can expect the game to have a feisty edge to it.
