West Ham welcome a relegation-bound Leicester to the London Stadium hoping to record back-to-back victories.

Our tipster Brad Walker (@brad_TWalker) has picked out two betting tips ahead of kick-off in the capital.

West Ham vs Leicester analysis - Hammers the side with momentum

To say West Ham have been in stellar form since Graham Potter's appointment would be a stretch too far. The Englishman has won only two of his seven matches since taking charge at the London Stadium, though a 1-0 victory at title-chasing Arsenal last weekend will provide a much-needed boost in confidence.

The Hammers took a first-half lead through captain Jarrod Bowen before soaking up the Arsenal pressure to secure three much-needed points at their city rivals. Keeping a clean sheet will have also been welcomed by Potter, considering West Ham had failed to register one in his first six matches as boss.

Another may also be coming his way given the scoring record of visiting Leicester. The Foxes started the season with a solid record in front of goal, having found the net in each of their first 10 league outings.

Goals have since dried up, though. Leicester have now failed to score in seven of their last 10, including each of their last three.

Ruud van Nistelrooy's men look increasingly likely to return to the Championship after recording only one win in their previous 12, a run which has left them in 19th position and five points adrift of safety.

Best bets for West Ham vs Leicester on Thursday, February 26, 2025

Selection #1 - West Ham to win & over 2.5 goals - 11/8

As mentioned, the hosts are hardly enjoying an impeccable run but the Arsenal win will have provided a welcome uplift after a tough start for Potter. A 3-2 win over Fulham remains his only home win since taking charge in January, having suffered subsequent defeats to Brentford and Crystal Palace in front of the Hammers faithful.

Nevertheless, Potter could have hardly picked a better opponent to face in this one. Leicester have picked a meagre two wins on away soil so far and are yet to keep a clean sheet on the road.

Their poor defensive record have seen a shed load of goals in their away fixtures. 92% of Leicester's matches on their travels have seen over 2.5 goals, while the same can be said for 69% of West Ham's games on home soil.

The home win almost picks itself given Leicester's form, but backing it to come in a high-scoring encounter at an odds-against 11/8 is a very appealing proposition.

Selection #2 - Tomas Soucek (West Ham) to be shown a card - 5/1

Only six players have picked up more cards than the six shown to Tomas Soucek so far. The Czech has also been cautioned in three of his last six in the league, with two of those coming at the London Stadium.

Yet, Soucek inexplicably comes in at a very wide 5/1 to be shown another card on Thursday evening. That price looks far too big to turn down for me.
