An in-form Swansea City travel to face Watford on Wednesday night as both look to push towards the play-off spots in the SkyBet Championship

How to Watch Watford vs Swansea City in the UK:

UK viewers can watch the game live on Sky Sports' Red Button from 19:45.

Recent Form:

Both Watford and Swansea have 11 leagues games left to play this season with just two points separating them (Watford are 12th and Swansea 15th after the weekend’s action).

Such is life in the Championship, that either could still snatch a playoff spot and at the same time, either could face the drop. Both will need to string a good run of wins together between now and end of the season to fulfil their play-off dreams.

Watford will be looking to prevent a third straight loss, while Swansea arrive at Vicarage Road looking for a third win on the spin.

The home side have lost their sting of late, winning only once in their previous ten games in all competitions. It’s been especially tough at home for the Hornets. They haven’t won at Vicarage Road in the league since November 28th and haven't kept a home clean sheet for 10 games in all competitions. They’ve not been proficient at the other end either, not scoring more than one goal in a home match since November (aside from slotting two past non-league Chesterfield in the FA Cup 3rd Round).

Swansea are on the up. Saturday’s win over Blackburn was their first home league win under Luke Williams. They head to Vicarage Road, looking to win three games on the bounce for the first time since October. The Swans have netted in each of their last five away games and beat sides in the top half of table (Sunderland and Hull) in their previous two road trips.

Team News

Swansea are waiting to discover the extent of an injury to influential attacking midfielder Jamie Paterson. He’s the Swans’ second highest scorer this season with 7 goals and scored the second goal in the 2-1 win over Blackburn on Saturday (before having to go off in the second half).

A positive on the attacking front for Luke Williams’ side though is the return of Jamal Lowe. The loanee from Bournemouth came on for Paterson on Saturday. The first time he’s played since mid-January.

Defenders Josh Key and Bashir Humphreys were also back in the Swans’ squad on Saturday (though didn’t feature), after recent lay-offs.

Valerien Ismael was pleased to welcome back Jeremy Ngakia and Vakoun Bayo to the Watford starting eleven against Millwall on Saturday. Despite the 1-0 defeat at The Den, the Hornets’ boss remained in upbeat mood: “At the end we pushed with two strikers {Martins & Rajovic}, so now we are more flexible and it’s good to have everyone back”.
