Real Madrid can move a step closer to winning a 36th La Liga title with victory over relegation-threatened Cadiz on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts currently sit eleven points clear of second-placed Barcelona heading into the match. Kick-off is set for 3:15pm UK time at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

Recent Form

Real Madrid

Carlo Ancelotti's side come into the fixture following a 2-2 draw away at Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday. Given their healthy lead at the top of La Liga, it's possible Madrid rest key players ahead of their return leg with the German side on the following Wednesday.

Los Blancos have been outstanding this term, and have won their last five league outings since their 2-2 draw at Valencia back in March. Madrid have also won their last five home outings, most recently securing a last-gasp 3-2 win over bitter rivals Barcelona last month. With just one league defeat to their name in total, Madrid are yet to lose at the Bernabéu this term.

Madrid's boast the best offensive and defensive records in La Liga. No side has bettered their 71 goals, 40 of which have been scored on home soil. They've failed to score in just one home fixture, but it's in defensive columns where Ancelotti's men have been most impressive; their nine goals conceded at home is the best in the division, and nine of their 16 home outings have ended in a clean sheet.

Given Cadiz' dismal defensive record on the road, Madrid will be confident of netting more goals en route to victory this weekend. Scoring three or more in nine home games this season will only provide a further boost.

Cadiz

The visitors remain in serious danger of dropping down to La Liga 2 with only five matches remaining. Cadiz find themselves in 18th position, and are already five points adrift of safety. Only Granada have a worse record on the road in the Spanish top-flight heading into the fixture.

Remarkably, Mauricio Pellegrino's men haven't recorded a single win on their travels all season, and have lost ten of their 16 away outings. Their overall form has been far from convincing, with Cadiz recording just one win in their last five La Liga fixtures.

Scoring goals has been a major problem; they've managed just 23 goals in total, with just eight of those coming on the road. Combined with the 27 goals conceded on the road, it's little wonder they find themselves staring down the barrel of relegation.

Prediction

It doesn't take a genuis to see why Madrid enter as overwhelming favourites (4/11) this weekend. La Liga's highest-scoring team against the second-worst away team should make for one thing: goals.

OddsNow expect Madrid to fill their boots en route to another victory in the Spanish capital.

OddsNow's Picks: Real Madrid to score 2.5+ goals (6/4 @ PaddyPower); Over 3.25+ goals scored (5/4 @ LiveScoreBet)
