RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund collide as both sides continue to hunt down a place in the Champions League next season.

Just two points separate the pair heading into the fixture at the Red Bull Arena. Kick-off is set for 2:30pm UK time on Saturday afternoon.

Recent Form

RB Leipzig

The hosts currently sit in fourth-place after recording six wins in their last seven Bundesliga matches. Leipzig most recently secured a 2-1 victory away at Heidenhiem to take advantage of Dortmund's home draw with Leverkusen the following day.

Marco Rose's side boast the fourth-best home record in the Bundesliga, with Leipzig not losing at home since a 3-2 defeat to champions Leverkusen back in January. They've won four of the five matches which have taken place at the Red Bull Arena since.

Leipzig also stand as the division's third-highest scorers with 69 goals, leaving them with an average of 2.3 per game. They've also failed to score in just 20% of home matches, and have found the net three or more times in 40%.

Rose's men have also excelled defensively, averaging just 0.67 goals conceded in home matches. An impressive 53% of these games have ended in a Leipzig clean sheet.

Borussia Dortmund

The away side come into the fixture on the back of a 1-1 home draw with Leverkusen. A point against a side who are yet to lose a single game in all competitions would normally be seen as positive, but Dortmund lead wasn't cut short until the 97th minute courtesy of a Josip Stanišić strike.

The result also saw Leipzig gain two points on them, and while Germany are likely to be granted five places in next season's Champions League, Dortmund will want to regain ground on their opponents this weekend.

Only Leverkusen boast a better away record than Edin Terzić's men this season, with Dortmund's 2-1 loss at Stuttgart in November remaining their sole defeat on the road this term. They've also won their last four away fixtures, including a 2-0 win at Bayern Munich at the end of March.

Goals haven't been hard to come by with an average of 1.93 scored, rising to two in away games. Dortmund have failed to score in only 7% of these matches, and have found the net two or more times in 60%.

Like Leipzig, Dortmund have also been strong defensively after conceding an average of just 0.93 on the road.

Prediction

Both sides come into the match with an impressive goalscoring record, with strong value found in backing Dortmund to continue their high-scoring trends in Leipzig this weekend.
