Manchester City sealed a record fourth consecutive Premier League title last term, but can Pep Guardiola's men hold off their title rivals to make it five?
We delve into the betting markets to find the best value concerning the champions heading into the 2024/25 season.
Matching their treble-winning season in 2022/23 was always going to be a difficult task for the Citizens. Nevertheless, Guardiola's men rebounded from a bumpy first half of the campaign to put in a near faultless display post-January. The result was a fourth consecutive Premier League title - a feat no other side has managed in the competition's history.
Star striker Erling Haaland was hampered by injuries around Christmas but still ended as the league's top-scorer with 27 goals. The Norwegian totalled 38 across all competitions, while Premier League Player of the Year Phil Foden boasted an impressive 27 goals and 12 assists.
Kevin De Bruyne missed the majority of the first half of the season due to injury but still managed a club-high 17 assists.

The City faithful would love nothing more than to add a record fifth consecutive Premier League title in what could turn out to be Pep Guardiola's final season at the club. The Spaniard's contract is due to expire next summer and there's still no word on whether he will opt to pen a new deal at the Etihad.
A major talking point heading into 2024-25 is the scheduled hearing for their 115 charges relating to potential breaches of the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules. The hearing will take place in September and any potential punishment could have a huge impact on how the Citizens' season pans out. Whether any permanent resolution will be reached in the next 12 months is questionable though, given the complexity of the case.
Regardless of the off-field shenanigans, City will of course be a major contender for every competition they compete in. Guardiola will be eager to avenge his quarter-final defeat to Real Madrid on penalties with a second Champions League title this time around.
City will surely be weary of the ongoing emergence of Arsenal as a title rival and will keep an eye on how Liverpool develop under their new head coach Arne Slot. Nevertheless, picking against them given their track record under Guardiola in the league would be bordering on nonsensical.
