Paris Saint-Germain look to move closer to a 15th Coupe de France title when they host Rennes in Wednesday's semi-final.
The Parisians are unbeaten in their last 25 matches in all competitions, and have won four of their last five. Kick-off is set for 8:10pm UK time at the Parc des Princes.
The winner of this one will face either Lyon or Valenciennes, who play in the other semi-final on Tuesday.
The home side have scored 19 goals across their four Coupe de France matches so far this season, while conceding just three in the process. Six of those goals have been scored in their two home outings against Brest and Nice, both games ending in a 3-1 win.
Their defensive record has been immaculate this season, having conceded an average of just 0.85 goals in league fixtures so far, though this does increase to 1.08 at home. Coupled with Rennes' goalscoring struggles on the road - they've failed to score in 46% of away matches in Ligue 1 so far - it's difficult to see anything other than a home victory in this one.
The Parc des Princes has also seen PSG average 2.54 goals in the league, which exceeds their expected goal (xG) tally of 1.8, and the home side have failed to find the net in only 8% of their home fixtures in Ligue 1.
Spearheaded by Kylian Mbappe, PSG have bagged two or more goals in 85% of their home matches. 54% have seen them score at least three.
All but one of Rennes' cup fixtures have been on the road this year, and have seen a combined total of twelve goals for Julien Stephan's side. Half of those came in a 6-1 away victory against third division side Sochaux, however. Rennes have conceded three goals in the Coupe de France so far.
Despite averaging four goals per game in the cup, Rennes' have struggled for goals on the road in Ligue 1. They've scored an average of just 0.92 in away games so far, despite averaging an xG of 1.3 in those games, and failed to score in 46%.
Rennes' defensive record is slightly better on away soil, with them conceding an average of just 1.15 in away fixtures compared to 1.29 at home, but they have already shipped four against PSG in their previous meetings this season.
PSG enter as clear favourites for this one, and it's not hard to see why. The home side last tasted defeat in November when they suffered a 2-1 loss to AC Milan in the Champions League, and most recently overcame bitter rivals Marseille, despite playing over half the match with ten men.
While there is little value found in a PSG win outright, the Parisians have proven their ability to find the back of the net throughout this campaign, and we expect them to continue their trend of scoring multiple goals at home on the way to securing a place in the final.
