Newcastle United play host to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday as both teams look to climb the table towards potential European places. Both teams are separated by a point with Newcastle sitting in 10th and Wolves in 9th.

How to Watch Newcastle vs Wolves in the UK:

The match is not being broadcast live due to 3pm blackout restrictions. Highlights of the match will be available on the Sky Sports Premier League YouTube channel shortly after full-time.

Recent Form:

Both teams come into this match having won their FA Cup matches in midweek. Newcastle scraped past Championship side Blackburn to win on penalties following a 1-1 draw which saw Anthony Gordon bag for the Magpies. Wolves defeated Brighton 1-0 after a second minute strike from Mario Lemina.

With the Premier league potentially receiving an extra UEFA Champions League place next season, it is possible that seventh place will potentially get Conference League football. Both teams sit within two points of seventh place Brighton.

Newcastle United:

Eddie Howe's side have failed to produce the same form this season, and having been knocked out of the Champions League, they will look to now focus on pushing for a European spot and perhaps an FA Cup. The Magpies currently sit on 37 points in 10th, two points ahead of Chelsea in eleventh.

Their last league outing saw a heavy 4-1 away defeat at title-chasing Arsenal. Their most recent home match saw a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.

Wolves:

Despite uncertainty at the start of the season, Wolves manager Gary O'Neil has guided the team into the top half as his side look to push for European football. Forwards Matheus Cunha and Hwang Hee-Chan have both scored 11 goals this season, while Mario Lemina has provided stability in midfield.

Wolves’ defensive displays will be key if they are to secure a European spot. The Midlanders have conceded less goals than all of the teams that surround them from seventh to 11th place.

O'Neil's side come into this game in good form, having won four of their last five, including a 4-2 win away to Chelsea and a 2-1 win away to Spurs. Midfielder João Gomes produced a fine display in the latter, bagging a brace.

Team News:

Much of Newcastle’s disappointing form is due to the injury list that they have accumulated during the season. Key players have missed many games for Newcastle this season, and they will be without striker Callum Wilson for this match. Goalkeeper Nick Pope and Joelinton are both expected to be unavailable for the remainder of the season. Defender Matt Targett is also out with a thigh injury, while central defender Sven Botman faces a late fitness test.

Wolves will be without an in-form Cunha who's out with an injury to his thigh. Hwang also faces a late fitness test.
