Premier League toppers Liverpool welcome bottom club Sheffield United to Anfield on Thursday evening as the hosts look to maintain their lead at the summit of the division.

Jurgen Klopp's men head into the fixture on the back of a 2-1 home win over Brighton at the weekend, while Sheffield United surrendered a 3-1 lead to eventually draw 3-3 at home to Fulham.

Unsurprisingly, Liverpool head into the match as huge favourites on the moneyline given the two side's league positioning, but how are the odds fairing on the 'Over/Under' markets?

Total Match Cards

Premier League matches at Anfield have averaged 4.73 total cards so far this term.

Only 1.93 of those have occurred in the first half, though, while a whopping 3.18 have taken place in the second half. This isn't surprising; Liverpool have been much more impressive in the second half of matches, with teams therefore taking more drastic measures to break up play and halt their second half momentum, therefore leading to more cards being administered.

87% of Liverpool's home games have seen at least two cards dished out. 80% have seen at least three, while 67% have seen at least four.

The high numbers continue upon inspection of Sheffield United's record on the road; the Blades have seen an average of 5.21 total cards on their travels so far. All 14 of their away matches in the league have seen at least two total cards, while 86% have seen at least three. 56% have seen four or more cards in total.

With all this in mind, more bookings can be expected on Thursday evening with both sides desperate for the points, albeit for different reasons. Five yellow cards were handed out in the reverse fixture earlier this season, where Liverpool secured a 2-0 away victory in Sheffield.

OddsNow's Pick: Over 4.5 total cards (9/5 @ Betfair)

Total Match Corners

Anfield has also seen plenty of set-piece action this season, averaging 11.54 total corners across Liverpool's 15 home games so far. All of those matches have seen at least 6.5+, while 93% have seen 8.5+ in total. 80% have seen at least 9.5+.

Sheffield United's away fixtures have also seen their fair share of corners, with their 14 away games averaging 11.64 so far. All 14 have seen at least 6.5, while 86% have seen 7.5+.

Total Home Corners

Liverpool have earned an average of 8.07 corners in their home fixtures so far. 80% of those games have seen them have more corners than their opponent.

93% of their home games have seen at least 3.5+ corners for Liverpool, while 87% have seen at least 5.5+. 80% have seen Liverpool earn 6.5+.

More can be expected as the league leaders look to assert their dominance over the side with the worst defensive record in the league on Thursday.

Total Away Corners

The Blades have earned an average of only 2.93 corners on the road this season. They've registered more corners than their opponent in just 14% of away fixtures so far.

Sheffield United have had 2.5+ corners in 50% of their away games, but only 36% have seen them receive 3.5+. They've had 6.5+ in only 7%, and are yet to have 7.5+ in an away game this term.

While the away side are rightly expected to offer little threat across the match, Liverpool have conceded 3.47 on average this campaign. 80% of their home games have seen opposition have at least 2.5+ corners. Back the Blades to force a few set-pieces on the way to what should be a comprehensive defeat in the North-West.

OddsNow's Picks: Over 11.5 total corners (6/5 @ Betfair); Over 2.5+ away corners (11/10 @ PaddyPower)
