David Moyes' second tenure at Everton gets underway with a tricky fixture against Aston Villa on Wednesday evening.
Can the Toffees get off to the perfect start, or will Villa pickup a rare win on the road?
Brad Walker (@brad_TWalker) has taken a closer look at the fixture from a punting perspective.
A failure to win any of their previous five in the league cost former Everton boss Sean Dyche his job last week.
The 53-year-old was shown the exit door just hours before the Toffees welcomed Peterborough in the third-round of the FA Cup, which ended in a 2-0 home victory.
Former manager David Moyes, who previously enjoyed an 11 year spell with the club before departing in 2013, has since been announced as his replacement and takes charge of his first game against Villa on Wednesday.
The Scotsman has work to do, with Everton picking up just one win in their last 11 league fixtures.
They welcome an Aston Villa side who have won three of their last five in all competitions, including a well-earned 2-1 home win over Leicester last time out in the league.
Unai Emery's men still harbour ambitions of a second consecutive season in the Champions League, but currently find themselves four points adrift of fourth.
A mounting injury/suspension list isn't helping their cause, with the likes of Pau Torres, Diego Carlos, John McGinn and Jhon Duran all missing out.
Both of these sides have endured struggles at opposite ends of the pitch.
Everton's scoring problems have been well-documented, with the Toffees having averaged a measly 0.79 goals scored in the Premier League so far.
Then again, they face a Villa defence which is yet to register a single clean sheet away from home.
Such poor performances at the back have hampered Every's crop on their travels, leaving them with the 14th-best away record in the division.
However, unlike for their hosts, finding the back of the net hasn't proven too much of an issue.
Four of Villa's last five have seen them score twice - a feat they've also achieved in four of their nine away outings so far this term.
Everton have also shipped two or more on four occasions at home, including in a 2-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest last time out.
The Toffees have also failed to beat Villa in their last five meetings at Goodison Park, three of which have ended in an away victory.
Putting all of this together, pairing up the away win with over 1.5 Villa goals at a very fair 15/8 looks a worthy punt.
