Everton host city rivals Liverpool in a long-awaited Merseyside Derby on Wednesday evening.

The visitors know a win will see them move nine points clear at the top of the Premier League, but can the Toffees dent their neighbours' hopes in the last ever derby to take place at Goodison Park?

Odds Now's Brad Walker (@brad_TWalker) has taken a closer look at the match-up to pick out a tasty 10/1 treble ahead of kick-off on Merseyside.

Selection #1 - Liverpool to win

Everton's form may have improved since David Moyes' appointment. but the 2-0 loss to Bournemouth in the FA Cup on Saturday marked the second time they've tasted defeat at home under the Scotsman.

They also welcome a Liverpool side who are unbeaten in 19 Premier League matches, having most recently secured a 2-0 win against the aforementioned Cherries in what first appeared a tricky fixture.

Arne Slot's key men also come into the game well-rested having sat out the defeat to Plymouth on Sunday, leaving the visitors in a strong position to extend their lead at the league's summit.

No side boasts a better record on the road in the English top-flight than Liverpool, who I'm going to back to win here.

Selection #2 - Diogo Jota to score anytime

Injuries have continued to frustrate and disrupt Jota, but the Portuguese international still has three goals in his last six league appearances.

He also played the full 90 minutes at Home Park on Sunday as he continues his return to full-fitness.

Jota is no stranger to leaving his mark on big occasions, having already netted crucial goals versus the likes of Fulham and Nottingham Forest in recent months.

Add in the fact he scored in Liverpool's last win at this venue back in 2022 and backing the forward to find the back of the net again suddenly looks a solid pick indeed.

Selection #3 - Idrissa Gueye to be shown a card

Only Crystal Palace's Daniel Munoz has made more tackles than the Everton midfielder so far this season.

Gueye's tenacity means he's always on the edge of boiling over, particularly in the heat of the frenetic atmosphere generated in a city derby.

The game also marks the final time the fixture will be played at Goodison, adding to the tension further.

Coupled with Liverpool's dominance in midfield this season (they've averaged 58% possession in the league), it wouldn't be a surprise to see the Senegalese go into the referee's book before the 90 minutes are up.
