Euro 2024 Final - First Goalscorer Betting Picks

Both sides boast a wealth of attacking talent who will hope to capture the headlines en route to writing themselves in the history of their respective countries.

The two leading candidates for the Golden Boot will also feature in the final. Spain's Dani Olmo and England's Harry Kane both have three goals to their name heading into Sunday and know another goal to their tally will likely see them emerge as the tournament's highest-scorer.

Harry Kane

The Bayern Munich striker already has a World Cup Golden Boot in his cabinet courtesy of his efforts in Russia six years ago. Building on a phenomenal debut season in German football, where he netted 44 times in Munich colours, Kane has also added three goals to his England tally in this tournament.

The return leaves him as one of six players to have netted on three occasions so far and a fourth goal could see him bag another Golden Boot trophy at international level.

Despite concerns regarding his fitness and overall performance at the Euros, Kane has had little trouble in finding the back of the net once again and comes in at a generous 23/4 (General) to open the scoring in Berlin on Sunday.

Dani Olmo

The RB Leipzig midfielder had to wait until Spain's final group match for his first start at the tournament. Nevertheless, Olmo has taken opportunities granted to him with both hands and, like Kane, also has three goals under his belt in Germany this summer.

The latest of those came against France in the semi-final with what turned out to be the winning goal at the Allianz Arena. The 26-year-old also replaced an injury-stricken Pedri in the quarter-final against Germany to open the scoring in a 2-1 Spain victory, and has proven a surprise but vital cog in their push towards the final.

Olmo comes in at a wide 10/1 (General) to open the scoring once again for the Spanish and could prove an astute pick given his form so far this summer.

Jude Bellingham

Not only will Bellingham be eyeing a late push for the Golden Boot mantle but the 21-year-old is also emerging as a leading candidate for this year's Ballon D'or. Having already captured La Liga and Champions League trophies with Real Madrid, the Englishman has also played a huge role in his nation's run to the final at Euro 2024.

Bellingham netted the winner in England's 1-0 win over Serbia in their tournament opener and also conjured a stunning bicycle kick to equalise against Slovakia in the round-of-16. England went on to secure a 2-1 extra-time victory in that one and Bellingham's superb confidence makes him a man to watch ahead of the final this weekend.

He stands at 11/1 (General) to be the first player to find the net against the country he campaigns in at club level.

Lamine Yamal

The teenage sensation had already left his mark on the tournament before his stunning equaliser against France at the semi-final stage. Yamal's long-range effort stands as one of the most memorable goals scored at Euro 2024, particularly given the fact he is just shy of 17 years of age.

That makes him the youngest player to ever score at a European Championship and one of the key men to keep an eye on ahead of kick-off in the German capital.

The Barcelona forward has excelled in defensive quarters on Spain's right-hand side and has already conjured three assists alongside the France effort, making him a leading candidate to open the scoring this weekend.

Yamal comes in at 10/1 with Star Sports to be first goalscorer and, given the concerns around England's left-hand side, will be confident of stealing the headlines once again.

Bukayo Saka

After a brilliant season at club level, Saka has carried his strong form into the Euros. Not only has the winger remained a potent goal threat for the Three Lions, he has also showed up in big moments along his nation's journey to their second consecutive final at a European Championship.

His exquisite equaliser versus Switzerland last time out took the tie to penalties where Saka exorcised any lingering demons from the previous final to slot past Swiss goalkeeper Yann Sommer.

The 22-year-old's blistering pace and direct runs could be a fruitful outlet for Gareth Southgate's side, particularly considering Spain left-back Marc Cucurella's marauding runs and the space he often leaves behind.

SpreadEx currently have the 'Young Gunner' at 13/1 to open the scoring at the Olympiastadion - a very generous price given his recent form in an England shirt.

Alvaro Morata

It has still not been confirmed whether Morata will be available for Spain after an incident with a steward left him limping and holding his knee after the France victory. Nevertheless, the 31-year-old remains one of the most experienced heads in the Spain squad and has led the line in all but one of their matches in Germany so far.

His goal versus Croatia on matchday one remains his only effort in the tournament heading into the final, but the Spanish captain will surely be handed chances due to the creative exploits of Yamal and fellow winger Nico Williams.

The Atletico Madrid striker's proficiency in front of goal has been questioned in the past but the 6/1 offered by Paddy Power could look a steal given the attacking prowess on display by this Spain team at Euro 2024.
