Relegation-threatened Cagliari host third-placed Juventus in the Serie A on Friday evening.
The hosts look to distance themselves from the dreaded relegation zone, while a win for Juve would further consolidate their position in the Champions League places. Kick-off is set for 7:45pm UK time at Sardegna Arena.
Claudio Ranieri's side come into the match in good form having recorded just one win in their last eight Serie A matches. They also held runaway leaders Inter Milan to a 2-2 draw at the San Siro at the weekend, further strengthening their survival hopes in the Italian top-flight.
Their home form has been a major staple in their survival bid, with six of Cagliari's seven league victories coming on home turf. They've averaged 1.44 points across their 16 matches at Sardegna Arena compared to a measly 0.5 on the road. Cagliari have also lost just once in their last five home encounters.
Their attacking output has been much better at home, where they've averaged 1.44 goals scored, finding the net in 81% of these fixtures in the process.
Cagliari's defensive record has been problematic home and away though, and their 1.63 goals conceded at home has prevented them picking up more points in front of their own fans. Four of their home matches have also seen them ship three or more goals.
The away side enter on the back of consecutive clean sheets in Serie A. They failed to build on a 1-0 home win over Fiorentina last time out though, where they were held to a 0-0 draw at Torino in the Turin derby.
Juventus have adopted a conservative approach this season, backing up their average of 1.41 goals scored with an impressive 0.75 conceded home and away. 47% of their Serie A matches have ended in clean sheets, with Juve finding the net in 81% of these games.
Their away form hasn't quite matched their output on home soil, though; they've averaged 1.75 points across 16 away outings compared to 2.19 in home games. 50% of their away fixtures have seen them score two or more goals, however.
Juventus are rightly backed as firm favourites heading into the fixture, despite Cagliari's impressive home form this season. Though there's little value in backing Juve on the moneyline, value can be found on the corners market.
Cagliari's home fixtures have averaged 10.32 corners this term, with only 31% seeing over 11.5 or more corners overall. Likewise, Juventus' games on the road have seen an average of 9.69 total corners, with just 13% seeing 11.5 or more.
