Arsenal know only victory will do when they host Everton on Saturday as they look to maintain pressure on league leaders Liverpool.

Odds Now's Brad Walker (@brad_TWalker) has combed over the fixture and picked out his best bet ahead of kick-off.

A 1-1 draw at Fulham last weekend dealt a further blow to Arsenal's pursuit of a first Premier League title in over two decades.

Mexican forward Raul Jimenez initially opened the scoring for the hosts after 11 minutes, only for Gunners centre-back William Saliba to equalise early on in the second-half from yet another set-piece.

Mikel Arteta's men thought they'd won it when Bukayo Saka headed home from Gabriel Martinelli's cross, only for VAR to rule the goal out after the Brazilian was caught offside in the build-up.

The result leaves Arsenal six points behind leaders Liverpool, who also have an extra game to play.

Another slip-up this weekend against another Merseyside club in Everton would only cast their title ambitions under further doubt.

The Toffees head into North London having comfortably dispatched relegation rivals Wolves, who were on the wrong end of a 4-0 defeat at Goodison Park earlier this month.

Everton were set to meet city rivals Liverpool in the final Merseyside derby at Goodison Park last weekend, only for the game to be postponed due to Storm Darragh.

Odds Now's best bets for Arsenal vs Everton

Given that Arsenal are eyeing up a run at the league title and Everton remain in danger of a relegation dogfight, it's not surprising to see the hosts come in firm odds-on favourites at 1/4.

The visitors' recent record in this fixture doesn't leave much reason for their travelling fans, either.

They've won just one of their previous 28 away outings against Arsenal, and have also picked just one away win in total in the whole of 2024 (2-0 vs Ipswich, October).

Everton have also failed to score in their last three matches on the road in the league and face the side who boasted the best defensive record in the division last season.

This doesn't mean they haven't had their fair share of chances, though.

In fact, Everton have actually averaged 3.26 xG during that period and have registered at least four shots on target in three of their last four away fixtures.

Ultimately, Sean Dyche's men haven't been able to convert these numbers into points, primarily due to a lack of clinical edge in the final third.

Still, they've not struggled creating opportunities and, regardless of whether they're able to take them this weekend, getting over 2.5+ Everton shots on target at 11/8 looks a pretty shrewd bet.

Arsenal haven't been as strong in defensive quarters this season and are also missing the likes of Gabriel, Ben White and Riccardo Calafiori at the back.

While I ultimately expect the home side to have too much quality, don't rule out Everton giving them a few scares in the capital.

Brad's selection: Over 2.5+ Everton shots on target (11/8, Betway)
