Seniesa Estrada and Yokosta Valle collide in an undisputed minimumweight encounter on Friday.

The pair face-off over ten rounds at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona to crown the number one fighter in the division. The card is headlined by Oscar Valdez' super-featherweight showdown with Liam Wilson.

Tale of the Tape

Estrada (25-0, 9KOs) has previously held the WBO light-flyweight title and enters the bout with the WBA and WBC belts at 104lbs. The 31-year-old first won the WBA version in December 2021 before adding the WBC strap in March last year. Estrada most recently defended her unified titles with a unanimous decision victory over Leonela Yudica. The champion's last three outings have all been by unanimous decision.

Valle (30-2, 9KOs) meanwhile enters with the WBO and IBF minimumweight belts, both of which she defended with a unanimous decision win over Anabel Ortiz in November. She first won the IBF title in August, 2019. Like Estrada, Valle has held world titles at both minimumweight and light-flyweight.

The latter has however tasted defeat twice in her career so far. The first came against Japan's Naoka Fujioka for the vacant WBO light-flyweight crown in 2017, before Valle stepped down to minimumweight in her next bout, only to lose over ten rounds to Tina Rupprecht in Germany. She was won all 17 of her bouts since, though only three ended inside the distance.

Prediction

Estrada comes in as favourite on the moneyline at a best of 8/13, though a better bet would be backing her to win by decision. I wouldn't advise backing either fighter to win inside the distance. Like most competitors in the female code, neither boast huge knockout ratios; Estrada's currently sits at 36%, while Valle's comes in at 30%.

The pair share a common opponent in the aforementioned Tina Rupprecht. Valle loss to the German over ten rounds in 2018, but Estrada comprehensively out-boxed Rupprecht over ten in March last year. Not only did Estrada get her hand raised, she won all ten rounds on all three judge's scorecards.

Valle enters with an advantage in both height (5"4 compared to 5"2) and reach (64.2 compared to Estrada's 63), but the latter has proven her ability to be as equally strong fighting on the inside as at mid-range.

OddsNow back Estrada to get the better of the action in a fight fought at a hellacious pace to earn the decision on the night.

OddsNow's Pick: Seniesa Estrada to win by decision/technical decision (17/20 @ BetVictor)
